Good afternoon Discovery family. It was so good seeing students back at school on Friday after missing almost two weeks due to the winter weather. Please see this week's announcements below.
Due to the winter weather, Friday February 13th and Monday February 16th are not student days. Again, these two dates are no longer teacher workdays, but instead, they are student days.
Monday and Tuesday - Enrichment, Wednesday - SEL, Thursday - Family, and Friday - Community.
On Saturday February 14th, we will once again host an ACT prep session for juniors. Juniors should be on the look out for a sign up form if they plan to attend.
Mr. Wilkinson will be meeting with all Sophomores on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week during Enrichment/SEL to complete their Career Development Plan. This is a state requirement.
Senate will have their snack bar open on Wednesday and Thursday during lunch. Stop by and check out what they have. All proceeds go to the school to purchase classroom materials.
This week is Bus Driver Appreciation week. If you're a bus rider, please let your driver know how much you appreciate them getting you to and from school safe and sound.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful week. As always, if there is anything you need, please let us know. Take care.

Good evening Discovery family. Despite diligent efforts by numerous operations, secondary roads and some areas of school campuses remain unsafe, preventing normal operations. There will be no school for students on February 4th. All Kid Connection sites will be closed. With all of the inclement weather we have faced over the last 2 weeks, it is necessary that we make up the hours of instruction missed on February 4th, therefore, February 13th will now become a school day for students and staff.
