Discovery High Bids Farewell to an Unforgettable Senior Class
Story by Robert Kiser
The 2026 senior class at Discovery High School is nothing short of great. They’ve been here for four years, made countless memories, and left a lasting impact on both the underclassmen and the staff.
“I’m excited to get out of high school, but I certainly will be missing people. I think out of all the high schools I could have chosen, this has been the best one I could have gone to,” stated Daniel Galloway.
Many members of the senior class have been accepted into colleges thanks to their academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and teacher recommendations. Some examples of these schools include NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, and CVCC.
“I always miss my theater kids when they graduate; I don’t know the entire senior class, though. I will miss a lot of people in general, especially my kids in the musical,” said Mrs. Isaac when asked about her reaction to the seniors leaving.
Even some underclassmen have made friends with a multitude of seniors, creating their own fond memories not only this year but in years prior.
“It’s quite sad. I feel like I will greatly miss the senior friends I’ve made this year, and I hope one day to somehow get into contact with them again,” stated freshman Bentley Strider.
The seniors at Discovery have also completed their Senior Projects, which are now out within the community, improving people’s lives where they can.
In short, this year’s senior class is not to be overlooked in the history of Discovery High. They will undoubtedly continue to make an impact for many years to come.
