Reflections on the Graduating Class

Story by Sam Canipe

As the school year approaches its end, teachers are reflecting on the graduating senior class with pride. For many, this group stands out not just for their achievements, but for their personal growth over the years.

Ms. Arditti described the seniors as a class she has grown especially close to. Because of the smaller class size, she explained, it was easier to get to know them as individuals, making their upcoming departure more bittersweet. One of her favorite parts of working with them has been watching their transformation. She noted that several students who once entered high school shy and reserved have since “come alive in very positive ways,” gaining confidence and finding their voices.

Mrs. Greenwald shared a similarly positive perspective, calling the seniors a “good group” who performed well academically. However, what stood out most to her was the importance of seeing each student as an individual. She said that the class reminded her not to view them as a single group, but as unique people with different strengths and personalities.

When it comes to advice, both faculty members encouraged independence and growth. Ms. Arditti urged seniors to “never stop learning and growing,” and Mrs. Greenwald emphasized the importance of finding one’s own path rather than following others’ expectations.

As graduation approaches, it’s clear this class will be remembered not just for what they accomplished, but for who they became.
