Good afternoon Discovery family. I hope that all of you are having a wonderful weekend. Below are the announcements for this week.
Beta Club will be selling candy grams as a fundraiser to expand Maggie's garden. Candy grams can be bought during lunch Tuesday through Friday. You can send them to friends and teachers, write a small message, and send them anonymously if you choose! For more information, see the flyers around the building.
From the student senate events committee: Winter is here, you know what time it is- time for WINTER FORMAL! Student Senate will be hosting our annual WINTER FORMAL on Friday, December 9th from 6-9 PM.
Ticket sales will start on Monday, December 5th, and will be sold during lunch in the cafeteria.
Admission will cost $5. Outside guests are permitted as long as they have their parents fill out a form first!
Leading up to Winter Formal, Student Senate will also be sponsoring a Spirit Week! The themes are as follows:
Monday (12/5/22) - Pajama Day
Tuesday (12/6/22) - Holiday Character Day (dress up as your favorite holiday character/trope)
Wednesday (12/7/22) - Dress like the First Letter of Your Name Day (dress up as something that starts with the same letter as your name)
Thursday (12/8/22) - Side Kick Day (bring your favorite stuffed animal/plushie to school)
Friday (12/9/22) - Ugly Sweater Day (featuring an Ugly Sweater contest during community!)
First semester testing will be December 16-22. More information will be sent out soon as to the specific tests given on each date.
