Good afternoon Discovery family and Happy Halloween. I hope that you all have had a terrific weekend thus far. Thanks to everyone who participated in our Spirit Week this past week. I believe that students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the activities that went along with it. Below are the announcements for this week.
Everyone should turn their clocks back one hour on Saturday night, November 6th as Daylight Savings Time ends.
I want to remind everyone of a couple of our norms. First, the Weak Mind Rule states that "Super minded people talk about ideas; Average minded people talk about things; Weak-minded people talk about other people. The latter is neither healthy nor morally correct. We expect Discovery High School students to engage in conversations of substance about ideas and things, not each other." Second, the Rule of Angels means basically that students will do the right thing because it's the right thing to do. Masks are required inside right now for students and staff. Please be sure to abide by this without having to be asked. Also, when you have a substitute teacher, you should behave just like you would when the regular teacher is present.
