Good afternoon Discovery Family. I hope that everyone is well and has been enjoying the beautiful weather we had this past week. Below are the announcements for this week.
Students, please refer to the email I sent earlier explaining that we have parking spots on North Ashe that should no longer be used in order to provide a safer environment for students to cross the street between DHS and NCHS.
Starting tomorrow, we are implementing a new sign out policy for 4th period. Students are not allowed to sign out after 2:00. We appreciate your help with this.
On Tuesday March 7th, our Juniors will be taking the ACT and our Sophomores will be taking the CCRA (which is a practice ACT test). Freshmen and Seniors will have an independent study day on this date. I would also encourage seniors to use this day to visit college campuses that they may be interested in attending next year. This would also be a perfect opportunity for freshmen to gain community service hours.
The Beta Club sponsored Pickleball Tournament, scheduled for Tuesday after school, has been cancelled.
