Weekly Announcements Sept. 28th

Good afternoon Discovery family. I hope that you are all doing well. Below are the announcements for this week.

Be sure to review the attendance video that was sent out on Friday if you've not already done so. It explains that students should be signing into Canvas on their remote learning days for attendance purposes and to find out any announcements, assignments, due dates, etc. that teachers have made.

Be sure to check your student's grades in PowerSchool regularly. If you need help setting up the app on your phone, please contact Ms. Sigmon at the school.

Remote students need to communicate with their teachers regularly especially if they are having questions. Remember that Fridays are set aside to provide support directly for remote students and they need to take advantage of this opportunity.

Thanks to Ms. Kellogg for organizing our Student Awards that would typically be presented during Community on Fridays. Students who are recognized for this past week can be found using the link in your email.

I hope that everyone has a terrific week. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support your child(ren).

Weekly Announcements September 21st

Good afternoon Discovery families. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. Below are our announcements for this week.

Please check your student(s) grades in the PowerSchool app. If you need help setting this up, please contact Ms. Sigmon at the school.

Remember that school is in session everyday Monday-Friday. Students should plan on participating in class 7:40-2:50 everyday whether they are remote or in person. If your child has a doctor's appointment or is sick, please contact the school and it would be good for your child to inform his/her teachers as well. If your child needs support with any of his/her classes, please reach out to the appropriate teacher(s).

Remote students should plan on participating in Zoom meetings with their teachers on Fridays. This is the one day set aside to provide instruction and support to these students.

We are happy to announce that our roof project is getting ready to be started. Equipment and supplies were dropped off at the school this past week.

As always, stay safe and please let us know if you need anything at all.

Weekly Announcements September 13th

Hello Discovery Family. I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. Below are the announcements for this week.

Underclassmen pictures are Monday and Wednesday of this week. Remote students received a Sign Up Genius message this past week to sign up for the day they wish to come. Please be sure to complete that if you have not already done so.

This week, in Family, students will be making cards for residents of Abernethy Laurels. This will count as community service for the students. If remote students would also like to participate in this activity, they can bring their cards by the front office by the end of the day on Thursday.

Senior Pictures are November 3rd and 4th. More information will be forthcoming about these pictures.

Students, please be sure that you are signing in daily with each of your classes. Also, please make sure that you are completing all assignments. Don't hesitate to reach out to any of us if you need any support. Remember that there is no such thing as PC19 or WC19 this school year. You can check the PowerSchool app to see how you're doing in each class. Parents, if you need help setting this app up, please contact Ms. Sigmon at the school.

As always, stay safe and let us know if you need anything at all.
